Meet yourself, with compassion
Online therapy for Indians worldwide. Grounded in acceptance, compassion, and a life that matters to you.
Hello and welcome!
I am Aishwarya (she/her), a psychologist based in New Delhi, and I care deeply about helping people build lives that feel meaningful and true to who they are. I pursued advanced training in Psychology in the US through my PhD at Palo Alto University, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Brown University. Over the past seven years, I have worked with more than 250+ clients across clinics and hospitals in India and the US. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy along with a Psychodynamic and Compassion-focused approach, I hope to walk alongside you to help you meet yourself and the life around you with compassion.

About me
I am a psychologist who cares deeply about helping people build lives that feel meaningful and true to who they are.M passion to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, brought me to the field of psychology.I trained in psychotherapy in India and the US and have worked with adults in hospitals, community clinics, and private organisations. Having lived and trained across different cultural contexts, I stay curious about how culture and identity shape each person’s experience, struggles, and strengths.Through my work with people facing both recent and long-standing issues, I have come to believe that no matter where a person might be in their journey, change is possible, and that it often begins with small, steady moments of truly “seeing” and connecting with ourselves. My hope is to support you in finding the courage to meet yourself and the life around you with compassion.

Therapy
I offer individual therapy to adults (18+) via online sessions and help them navigate:
My approach
My therapeutic style combines the three approaches:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: involves identifying core personal values (e.g., independence, adventure, assertiveness, creativity etc.) and the specific barriers that come in the way of living a life aligned with these values. Addressing these barriers includes learning to mindfully observe and acknowledge difficult feelings and thoughts instead of trying to push them away or change them; while also taking steps towards the identified core values.
Psychodynamic Therapy: Understanding how past experiences shape your present patterns, and gradually experiencing the feelings they protect you from, promoting lasting change.
Compassion-focused Therapy: Learning to meet your struggles with kindness, not self-criticism or pity.
In sessions...
Together, we will explore the concerns you are struggling with as well as what gives your life meaning and what barriers get in the way. These obstacles can be internal (e.g., thoughts, feelings) or external (e.g., life events, other people, social and financial pressures). Some obstacles might shift more easily, while others can feel harder to address. To help you get unstuck, we will get curious about each of the obstacles you are facing and reflect on questions like: where did the pattern begin, and what has it been doing for you, even if it no longer serves you?
Sometimes the way forward in therapy might involve making room for painful thoughts/feelings and letting go of the struggle; other times it may mean trying out a different behaviour that is closer to what you want to stand for in life, even if it feels a little uncomfortable at first.

Our relationship
Effective therapy involves a true collaboration between the therapist and the client.I bring my training and expertise into the sessions, and you bring your unique experiences, thoughts, feelings, and knowledge of your own life. Meaningful change happens when we work together towards your goals, so the relationship between us is an important part of the work too.I will often check-in about how sessions are going for you, including whether they feel emotionally safe and helpful. Every reaction you have, comfortable or not, is welcome: it shows us how to adjust our work together and often echoes patterns of the past that are worth understanding further.
